The Philadelphia Phillies were blow out on Thursday afternoon by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Phillies lost 8-3 and dropped two of three games on the road to the Diamondbacks.
The Phillies were only able to manage six hits in the game and two runs. Chase Utley, Eric Bruntlett, and Ryan Howard all had one rbi each for the Phillies. The middle of the order absolutely sucked it up against the Diamondbacks as the the 3-8 hitters did not have one hit the entire game.
Brett Myers took the loss for the Phillies as he gave up nine hits and seven runs through five innings. Clay Condrey pitched the final three innings of the game and allowed one run as well.
