Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Kyle Kendrick pitched eight innings and the Phillies shut out the Oakland Athletics 4-0 on Wednesday night.  Kendrick earned his seventh win of the season as he only gave up four hits and pretty much dominated the A’s lineup all night long.

J.C. Romero tossed the ninth inning for the Phillies and didn’t have too much trouble.  Romero did walk one batter but he also struck out one batter.

Chris Coste went 2-3 and had two rbi in the game to the Phillies at the plate.  Pat Burrell and Pedro Feliz both contributed with two rbi of their own in the game.

The Phillies are now 43-36 on the season and will try to win the series against the A’s with a victory on Thursday afternoon.  Adam Eaton will take the mound for the Phillies.
