Cole Hamels was sure on top of his game Thursday night as he pitched a complete game shutout and as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves by the score of 5-0. Hamels limited the Braves hitters to only four hits the entire game as he improved his record to 5-3 on the season.
Four of the Phillies five runs came via the home run as three Phillies players hit long balls. Shane Victorino had a two run shot while Pedro Feliz and Ryan Howard both had solo home runs. Felix also had a rbi single in the game as well.
The Phillies will now play the Toronto Blue Jays in a interleage matchup over the weekend.
